i am giving this one start for a few reasons,

1: i am old enough to remember the old wooden park, which looked better and was more fun (if only it had swings it would have been perfect)

2: the new "gym" area has ruined the park area and added in dangerous concrete slabs into a green play area, also it's never adults you see on the equipment it is always children, unsupervised and under the age limits as specified on the equipment, fair enough having it on public walkways, but next to a children's play area is a disastrous and ill thought out idea.

3: they have now put down tarmacadum over another large (and usually always full in the summer) picnic area now there is no more large green area to kick a ball, or spread out a blanket where you would be in teh sun as teh tree's ten to shadow the other area's of the park

4: the children's play area if you could call it that is terrible, it's no use for toddlers (unless they can climb a climbing wall to get to their slide) even if they can, its grey, drab and not what you would expect from a toddler playground, for the main parts it's dirty, constantly i am finding broken glass and rude pictures and rude words drawn all over the equipment, and thats the equipment that has not been burnt or destroyed,

if parents have any sense they will keep driving and head on to carrigaline, kinsale or crosshaven, well thought out and maintained parks suitable for all ages unlike douglas 'park'.
